We Live in London.

After a week of mad apartment veiwing, we've found our flat:

Ground Floor
33 St Leonard's Terrace
London, SW3 4QQ

Since we know everyone can't visit just yet, you can check it out on Google maps:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&q=33+St+Leonard%27s+Terrace,+Kensington,+Greater+London+SW3+4&um=1&ie=UTF-8&split=0&gl=uk&ei=HzmVSuGMOuSrjAeU5Zj6DQ&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=1

Yeah, zoom in and those are tennis courts in Burton's Court that we have FULL ACCESS TO. And that's the Thames right beyond Ranlegh Gardens. Amazing neighborhood, short walk to the Sloane Square tube, short walk to Victoria Station, it's just about got it all.

For a more detailed view of the house:
Click on the "A" representing our actual address and hit "Street View"
It's not the place you're looking at, but on the corner to the right, so click the right arrow to walk down the street, once and you'll be looking at the windowed nook where our dining table will be, twice and you'll be standing in the intersection of St. Leonard's Terrace and Smith Street. (You can recognize our flat since it is the one on the corner-in the picture it has the street sign for St Leonard's Terrace just below our dining room window).

Now click on the little left-hand orientation arrow in the top left corner of the frame to turn your orientation, and you'll be looking directly at our place with a full view of our wooden front door on Smith Street and our windows overlooking St. Leonard's Terrace and the parks. We're on the first floor, or what they call the Raised Ground Floor Level, so the part that's all white as opposed to the brick facade above. It's so dope we can hardly believe it. Those trees to the right of our front door, kind of behind the building, are the view out of the large French doors of our bedroom.

We expected a tiny little place with a tiny little kitchen and a tiny little bathroom, and instead have an open, light, and beautiful apartment with lots of space and storage.

Clelia Peters is a machine when it comes to this stuff. Seriously, everyone should have one.
I can hardly wait 'til homegirl starts decorating . . .

PS-Still no cellular phones (waiting for our bank cards before we can do that.) But you can reach us on our temporary mobile: +44 (0)7805 936 314

Welcome

Welcome to the Clel and Blakeslee blog

We're hoping this blog will serve as a forum to keep anyone interested updated on our life as we make our move to the UK and settle into our lives. Information included will probably run the gamut from the mundane (we'll add our new address, phone number and other contact information here) to the ridiculous (I cannot wait to post information about the apartments we are looking at so you can all comment on them!) Mostly, we expect to post photos, stories and anecdotes several times a month. A little slice of the lives of Clel and Blakeslee.
